Random turn-order draw for a committee, tanda or susu
Type the members’ names, one per line, and draw the order of turns. The draw shows a seed, a short code. Anyone who enters the same names, in the same order, with the same seed gets exactly the same result here, so the group can check the draw was not changed.
How do you run a fair draw online?
Run the draw once, while everyone watches, in person or on a video call. Then share the result and the seed in the group straight away. A draw that is repeated until the organizer likes the result is not fair, and sharing it immediately is what prevents that. If anyone asks later, they can enter the same names and seed on this page and see the same order.
Is this the same as the draw in the app?
No. This page is a separate tool, and its seeds only work here. In the Savings Circle app, a random draw saves its seed with the group, so anyone can check later that it was not changed, and members can ask to swap turns with the swap recorded too.
Are the names sent anywhere?
No. The draw runs in your browser, and the names are not sent to Savings Circle or stored. They leave your device only if you copy or share the result.
Planning the amounts and dates too? Use the payout calculator. For the rules to agree before the first payment, see the kameti guide or the tanda guide.
